2.  A cool street in Camden, London.
3. Freshly baked cookies at home with a copy of Company magazine.. perfect!
4. Tulips from the garden.
5. New shoes from Author in London, I love them.
6. BBQ in the sun.
7/8. University paper night out.
9. Hot coco and the MadMen series, I'm hooked!

...

I also finished writing my last ever column for my Uni paper which was sad because I really enjoyed writing them. It was a great experience and really encouraged me to take the time to try some new things this year. I also got my invisible brace fitted which has been a major adjustment (eating wise!) but thankfully I'm getting used to them now. A lot of my friends haven't even noticed I have them on so it was worth getting them in white I reckon.

I'm sad to say goodbye to April, it's gone by too quickly. I realised I forgot to do my product of the month post so I'll just have two for May. The first one will go up next week along with the giveaway winner. If you haven't entered yet you still can, the giveaway will close at 6pm tomorrow :)

Hope you all had a good month? What was your highlight?

Top - H&M
Skirt - Miss Selfridge
Shoes - Carvela
Necklace - Camden Market

Hi there! This week has gone by fairly quickly, as they all seem to these days. It's been fun not having so much on this week and being able to enjoy some quiet time before exams and work this Summer. I found these pictures on my iPhoto and remembered that I hadn't posted them yet. My Mum took them for me when I was up at home last week.

I'm looking forward to watching the Royal Wedding tomorrow, probably because of all the hype there's been around it. I kinda wish I was going to a little tea party or something really British like that to celebrate it all. Who will you be watching it with?

This weekend will probably involve more reading, writing, Mad Men, eating and general relaxing. I'm sorry I don't have anything more interesting to share haha, sometimes I'm really boring!

I hope you all enjoy your weekend when it arrives :)

My week in photos..

Sunday, 24 April 2011

Happy Easter! I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend. Here are some photos I thought I'd share from my week:

♥  Yummy BBQ out in the garden at home.
♥  A small series of little Fergus, my boyfriend's mum's dog. So cute :)
♥  What I wore today, I felt really summery. (Moto trousers, Topshop blouse and Primani brogues).
♥  Some photos from Edinburgh during a stroll through Princes Gardens this afternoon.
♥  Edinburgh Castle.

This week coming is fairly quiet, I'm looking forward to getting on with some writing, reading and also catching up with some friends. I'll also need to start getting back into my exercise routine as there's no excuse now that classes at Uni are finished for the semester. I think I'll ease myself back into it with Davina fit, I love the yoga stretch section at the end of the workout.

Catch up with you all soon at Ten things I love Tuesday.

Leigh Ellexson

Friday, 22 April 2011

Hi folks! I wanted to share with you one of my favourite photographers on Flickr, the lovely Leigh Ellexson. Not only are her photos beautifully whimsical but she also manages to incorporate an amazing positive energy in all her images. She literally captures those unique moments, like a burst of laughter or a distant glance and magically brings them to life all over again. What I also love about Leigh's photography is how she often incorporates her own drawings into her photos, I love mixed media and she does it so artfully and tactfully that it just works.

I also love her sense of personal style, all her clothes are fun and bright just like the subject matter of her photos. So if you're looking for some inspiration or you need some uplifting check out Leigh's Flickr or her Facebook page. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

River Island Giveaway.

Tuesday, 19 April 2011

Hello lovely readers! So today I thought I'd surprise you with a giveaway! Last week I reached 500 followers and to thank you all for being so wonderful and supportive I wanted to give the chance for one lucky reader to win this gorgeous orange vintage cross body bag from River Island (& because I love them, some Jelly Belly's). I've had my eye on this little beauty for a while, it's perfect for Summer and would make an amazing statement to any outfit.

Michelle over at Daisy Butter does a regular post on her blog called Ways to Wear, so inspired by her I thought I'd share with you a few of the ways I'd wear this bag. (Unfortunately I couldn't find the same replica of the bag on polyvore, so I improvised.)

Look 1 - I love this outfit, perfect for a festival I think.

Look 2 - I love this girly look, great for a day out.

So there you have it! I hope you like the bag as much as I do. So here's how you enter:

♥ Please leave a comment saying enter me and then tell me what your favourite TV series is just now. (I'd love to know if there are any I'm missing out on.)

♥ For an extra entry you can tweet about it mentioning my twitter username: @Stefany_Withers and my blog's url.

♥ And for one more entry you can include the giveaway picture and a link to this post in the sidebar of your blog.

This giveaway is only open to followers so to enter you must be a follower via google friend connect. (I will check!) If you're not on blogger then it's really simple to set up a google account. Please don't enter this giveaway if you have not done this as your entry will not count. This is to ensure that only people who support my blog get a chance to win. International entries are also welcome.

I will number all the entries in the order they come in (please let me know if you have tweeted or added the giveaway to your sidebar so I can add your extra entries) and the winner will be chosen at random through a random number generator. The closing date for this giveaway is May 1st and the winner will be announced the next day.

GOOD LUCK!

Denim Jacket - Miss Selfridge
Basic Tee - H&M
Skirt - Miss Selfridge
Shoes - New Look
Jewellery - New Look

Hello there! This is an outfit I wore the other day. I really love the skirt, I think it's because I've been watching all this MadMen! I'm loving all the 1960's-esque clothing out in the shops just now. Today I've been listening to this song a lot. It's really put me in the mood for Summer and helped me feel positive about a few of the changes I'll be making soon. I felt myself feeling a bit anxious this weekend about the future which came out of the blue. I suppose it's all this talk about dissertations at Uni and it's reminded me that I only have one year left before I'm out in the real world. There's so many things I haven't figured out yet!

I've decided that I'll definitely be spending my Summer in London, which I'm excited (and a teeeny bit nervous about.) I'll also be doing a social media internship with FashAddict which I'm looking forward to. I can't wait to join their blogging team and begin posting regularly throughout Summer.

So there's lots to be happy and grateful for! I know it's only natural to feel overwhelmed at times, I think I'll just deal with it all in little steps instead of always looking so far down the line. One thing at a time!

I hope you've all had a positive start to your week! I'm determined to be productive and get on with my to do list which includes doing some 'recreational writing', replying to some e-mails, starting revision and  looking at flats in London! What's on your list for this week?

Home for Easter.

Saturday, 16 April 2011

Hi there! I'm currently sipping on a fruit smoothie at a window seat in the living room overlooking our garden. It's been such a sunny day here and I've had a really nice time relaxing at home and enjoying some down time. Here are a few pictures of my week so far:

♥ Some photos from the garden and the outhouse.
♥ I finished Never Let Me Go today. It was a great book and I felt at the end we got some more answers about the whole story than you do in the film. In particular with the Guardians and 'Madame'. However, I think I still found the film more sad, it was so beautifully acted and maybe that's why the film felt a bit more 'raw & emotional' than the book. Feel free to disagree though, I thought both were great! I'm now looking for something new to read so if any of you have any recommendations then I'd love to hear.
♥ A picture of my sister baking some yummy hot cross muffins which we enjoyed eating.

Tonight we're having a BBQ out in the sun followed by watching the new Harry Potter. I'm actually really looking forward to seeing it again! It's sad how Harry Potter still excites me so.

I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend and thanks again for all of your amazing comments, I'm so appreciative of how supportive you all are. I'm very lucky that you guys take the time to read and comment on what I write. It means a lot, so thank you :) Also a big hello to some of my new readers, there's a few of you thanks to Bloglovin featuring me on their up & coming list.

Also a little update on the invisible brace situation. It's not been easy, like many of you warned. I've been in a lot of pain and each meal takes me twenty minutes longer than it should but I'm getting there with them. It's been a much harder adjustment than I anticipated but I just need to keep reminding myself about why I'm doing it. The good thing is the pain must mean they're working!

Azuni Love Twist Scroll Necklace.

Thursday, 14 April 2011

Necklace - Azuni
Playsuit - Topshop
Shoes - New Look
Socks - New Look

I'm so excited to share this beautiful necklace with you all! The amazing Azuni sent me their 'Love Scroll Sterling Silver Necklace', last week and here it is finally being debuted on my blog (although I've not had it off since I got it!!) The necklace seems to add a perfect girly touch to outfits and it's one of those special necklaces you want to keep forever. I've always been a fan of simple elegant necklaces for everyday wear and Azuni has a wide range of beautifully styled pieces. A few of my other favourite items are herehere & here.

Here is some inspiration on how you could wear one of their necklaces. I teemed it with this little playsuit I got from Topshop and I felt it helped bring the whole outfit together. Perfect for Spring :) So if you're interested in any of Azuni's products then the good news is Azuni are offering all my lovely readers a 20% discount on ANY piece from their wesbite during April and May! All you have to do is call or email Azuni and mention my blog 'Influence' when you've chosen the piece you'd like to purchase. It's a great opportunity to treat yourself to something special.

In other news I'm enjoying being at home for the holidays but I'm still getting used to these pesky invisible braces that I got fitted on Monday. (I've got them on in the pictures above if you can spot them.) Unfortunately I've not been able to eat a bite of food since I got them, I've been tentatively nibbling Ready Brek and sipping on soup to minimise jaw movement as much as possible. So this lovely necklace couldn't have come at a better time because I've really needed some cheering up.

I hope you're all good and having a great week!
