Top - Primark
Shorts - Topshop
Shoes c/o Sarenza - Jeffrey Campbell

Hi everyone! Just a quick post this evening to show you all what I wore the other day. It's a fairly simple outfit but that's the look I've been drawn to lately. This top was one of the bargains I picked up in Primark the other day. I love the draped pockets, definitely glad I bought it! I also wore my new brogues c/o Sarenza, which I've barely had off since I got them. I love that they're a neutral colour and I can see them becoming my new favourite pair of everyday shoes. I've never owned any Jeffrey Campbell shoes before but now I can finally see what all the hype is about - the quality is amazing! (Which sadly cannot also be said about these photos, sorry they're so grainy.)

Tonight I'm meeting the lovely Ayden, who you all probably know is a fellow scottish blogger. I've been an avid reader of her blog since I started blogging so I'm really excited to get the chance to finally meet her :)

In other news a person I went to school with has just released an incredible album called Suego Faults. I've been playing it non-stop this week & I'd highly recommend downloading it from iTunes ;) One of my favourite tracks is Lions & Cages which you can listen to here

Hope you all have a great weekend xx

Top - Primark
Shorts - Jack Wills
Shoes c/o Sarenza - Carvela

Here's a few photos of what I wore today. I love this new snake skin print top that I bought from Primark for only £7. It's been a while since I've visited good old Primark and I was surprised by how many nice things they have in store just now. Definitely worth checking out! I bought 3 tops yesterday for only £20.

In other news my boyfriend's talented brother has recently started up a blog which you can check out here. You'll definitely be impressed by his amazing portraits, especially if you happen to be a LOST fan.

I think I'm going to order a new series off of Amazon tonight as I'm missing having something to watch now that I've finished Mad Men. Watching re-runs of The Gilmore Girls isn't quite cutting it anymore ;) I think I'll re-visit everyone's suggestions on this post for some inspiration. I hope you've all had a great week!

Topshop ensemble.
Frills and Company shoes

Hi there! I can only apologise for my severe lack of blogging recently. This week I've been under the weather with a mysterious flu like illness. Unfortunately that meant I was unable to travel home for a few days, which I was really disappointed about. I also haven't managed to see the new HP yet because I was meant to go and see it with my family. I've been avoiding twitter/facebook like mad so I don't get jealous of everyone whose been already.

Above is what I wore the other day, I really love the bright orangey/red jeans. I'm a little undecided about the top though.. I think perhaps I should have bought it in a bigger size so that it was a little baggier on? I like the design though as it's similar to the 'Justice' band sign, which I like. As my photographer (a.k.a my boyfriend) is currently not with me I'm trying to take all my pictures on self timer in our flat. For some reason it is reallyy difficult with my camera?! Also having it balanced on a pile of books to get the right height makes me slightly nervy haha. I need to buy a tripod when I get paid..

This week has been really quiet. I'm glad to have had some time off work and even though I've been ill it's been nice just chilling out again. I've also now started my new role as Features Editor for my Uni paper so I've been busy getting organised with that.

I'm hoping to go back down to London again at some point over the next couple of weeks. My boyfriend has been trying to get his hands on a pair of tickets to see Coldplay for us so fingers crossed. I was gutted to have missed them at T in The Park!

What's everyone up to this weekend? Whatever you do, do not say seeing Harry Potter. I now need to find a friend to go with who hasn't watched it already :( xx

Portobello Market.

Thursday, 7 July 2011

I stumbled upon these photos from London today and decided to share them with you guys. These were taken on a little trip to Portobello Market a few weeks ago where I bought that lovely knitted vest top. I think it'll be so cute and cosy for winter but for now it's hanging up safe and sound in my wardrobe. Portobello Market was full of so many incredible little boutiques and had the widest range of stalls I think I've ever seen. I'd love to go back there one day when I have more money so that I can splurge on some more of the amazing items I came across there.

I also wanted to share with you all my gorgeous new shoes c/o Sarenza.co.uk (the last photo). I think they're perfect for my upcoming holiday to Dubai & Singapore in September. The cream pair are from Carvela and are a bit different from the usual styles I tend to go for. I thought it would be nice to go for a softer pair of shoes that went with more denims, dresses etc. I also love the little gold studs on them, I think they could really jazz up a simple outfit. The second pair are by a brand I've never tried before called Frills & Company. I'm so glad I chose them as they're great quality and are super comfy to wear. I really love all the clasps on them and I think they're very 'me' as I love shoes that are a bit quirky and different. As a Sarenza ambassador I've really loved having the opportunity to be more adventurous in my shoe choices and it's allowed me to experiment with a range of different brands/styles that I might never have had the chance to try. I'd def recommend both these pairs if either of them are your style too, the Frills & Co ones are in the sale as well ;)

Tonight I watched the Harry Potter premier and found myself wishing I could have been there at Trafalgar Square!! I feel so sad that it's all come to an end.. like anyone else my age we grew up with those books so it's like the end of our childhood. I can remember back when I first heard about them when they were still this relatively unknown series. A boy in my class (in year 4) called Andrew told my 'table' all about this book he was reading, which had a wizard who went to a school called Hogwarts where owls brought them mail.... I was sold!! haha. I think I need to watch all the films from the beginning before seeing the last one, just to tie it all in nicely. That's how I'll spend my day off this week I reckon ;)

How does everyone else feel about HP ending? Are you sad or is that a pointless question?! I'd love to know if you can remember how you first came across them.
