BaByliss Big Hair Brush - £30.50 via Amazon

I recently bought the BaByliss Big Hair and thought I'd share my thoughts on it. So far I've really enjoyed using it! Price wise it's not too bad, around what you'd expect to pay for a hairdryer. The brush itself has two different heat settings, which let the brush head spin at a slow and fast speed. I mainly use the slower spin setting as I find it gives me the effect I'm after, however the faster spin with extra heat helps you create bigger volume in my opinion.

I'm not a hair person but I do find this brush easy to handle and after a little practise I got the hang of using it. I usually blow-dry my hair first with a normal hairdryer until it's 80% dry and then do the last part with the Babyliss brush, which I find gives you a lovely finish. I agree with the claims that it leaves your hair really silky and soft, and it also doesn't tangle your hair at all when you're using it. I can't say it's given me the same amount of volume a hairdresser can create but it definitely gives my hair more shape than a standard DIY (head upside down!) blow dry. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone who's considering getting a blow-dry brush. I found that Amazon had the cheapest price but Tesco and Ebay also sell it reduced as well. Do any of you guys have this product? What do you think?

  1. I agree! I've used this for the last year & love the finish it achieves with my hair! It makes my hair so glossy & I much prefer using it to straightening my hair on days I don't have it curly!

  2. You look all nice and tanned from your holiday :) I got this for Christmas a couple of years ago (after seeing it advertised and informing my mum it was absolutely neccesary that I got it). It was ok, I found that it just brushed all the volumising product out of my hair and left it really quite flat. I was really disappointed and gave it to my friend! But your pictures make me wanna try it again haha, but I know it wont work as well for me! x

    1. Aw that's a shame. I had to use it a few times before I got the hang of it but it's still a little fiddly x
