Bali Photo Diary

Wednesday, 6 June 2012

Here's some holiday photos! We had an amazing few days in Bali. I've been lucky enough to visit Bali before so it was nice taking it easy this time and just hanging out at the beach and hotel. We went with my Mum, Dad and brother which was lovely and good fun. Sadly my little sisters couldn't make it as they're still at school.

During our stay we went out for some delicious meals, my favourite being the local beach seafood restaurant. We also managed to rent some boogie boards one morning, which was a good laugh. I chose not to include the photo of me tumbling off my board and being dragged through the surf.

On our last night we were told the hotel were releasing some baby turtles back into the Ocean. Now as a nature/ocean activist I know that it's actually better not to interfere with turtles hatching as they need to make their own way into the sea with no help... survival of the fittest and all that. However, 'Kunu' as we called him was one of the last baby turtles left and since he was trying to fight his way out of the bowl they had put him in we figured we'd set him off on his way. It was amazing watching them all swim off into the ocean, I hope they survived.

We're back in Singapore now for a week before flying back to the UK. I miss Bali but luckily Singapore isn't a bad go between :) If you're interested in what books I've read so far this holiday check out my latest book reviews on my writing blog.
